The American automobile major, General Motors
(GM) India, has today announced the launch
of three new cars in Indian markets, including
a premium hatchback and claimed that the
company was looking to capture 10 per cent
of the market share by 2010.
The three cars launched by the company
arc the premium hatchback, Aveo U-VA, Sedan
Aveo and sports back Optra SRV.
GM India president, Mr Rajeev Chaba, said,
"The Chevrolet was among the fastest
growing car brands in India and would push
up the company's sales on a higher trajectory,"
adding that the company would be more aggressive
in its approach.
